Genesis G70 Shooting Brake arrives down under

POWERED by a 179kW 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and sporting 465-litres of boot space, the 2022 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake offers a compelling package, delivering the timeless appeal of a sleek coupe-styled luxury sports car, with wagon practicality.

A unique and athletic rear treatment features a single-piece glass hatch and integrated rear spoiler, while at the front, it builds on the Genesis Athletic Elegance philosophy, sporting quad lamp architecture and the brand’s signature crest grille.

Inside, the G70 Shooting Brake features an array of technology including a 12.3-inch 3D digital cluster display, without the need for special glasses, and 10.25-inch satellite navigation infotainment system, with Apple CarPlay.

An extensive Genesis active safety control suite and 10 airbags will keep occupants safe too, with forward attention warning, driver attention warning with leading vehicle departure alert, and lane keep and lane follow assist included.

Rear occupant alert, safe exit warning, multi-collision braking and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist also feature, as does forward collision-avoidance assist with junction turning function, and smart cruise control with stop and go.

A number of other safety technologies are also included. Luxurious upholstery and trims, complete the offering, with the new model to be available in 15 exterior colours, and Luxury and Sport Line packages.

Upholstery colour choices include the vibrant Sevilla Red, sophisticated Velvet Burgundy and classic Obsidian black among the selection of seven interior colours across Sport Line and standard styling.

A Brembo brake package and limited slip differential are also standard, as are a panoramic glass sunroof, smart boot, heated and ventilated front seats, electro-chromatic mirrors, and wireless phone charging.

The 2022 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake powertrain is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the new model variant comes with a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty, and 5-years or 50,000km of complimentary scheduled servicing.

The Genesis ownership package also includes a 5-year unlimited kilometre Genesis to You offering (which includes a concierge and courtesy vehicle service), Valet Service (pick-up and return for servicing), and 24/7 roadside assist. It’s priced at $79,000 plus on-roads.
