GAC confirms it’s headed down under

Chinese car maker Guangzhou Automobile Group or GAC as they’re known globally, is set to officially launch onto the Australian market in November, bringing its next-generation vehicles to local roads for the first time.

A pioneer in quality, sustainability and design, GAC will make its local debut with three models, each offering advanced safety, cutting-edge powertrains and premium features. That includes its all-electric flagship, the AION V.

A mid-size SUV powered by advanced electrical architecture, it’s joined by the M8 PHEV, a sophisticated luxury seven-seat MPV. The marque’s petrol powered compact-SUV – EMZOOM – which competes with  the Tiggo 4, completes the brand’s initial offerings.

While new to Australia, GAC is steeped in industry expertise, with partnerships that includes Toyota and Honda. Alongside its own R&D achievements, the company has established world-class manufacturing capabilities.
