Ford gives Ranger the tradie treatment for special edition

FORD Australia is introducing another limited-run special-edition, in the form of the Ford Ranger Tradie, featuring a range of practical, factory-fitted add-ons designed to appeal to customers looking for a ‘work ready’ pick-up.

Based on the latest Ranger XL 4×4 Double Cab Pick-Up, the Ranger Tradie is equipped with the proven 3.2-litre five-cylinder turbo-diesel and six-speed automatic transmission as standard.

The 4×4 system features both high and low-range 4×4 with locking rear differential, as well as 800mm water wading ability, and all for $47,990 drive away, for a limited time.

The Ranger XL Tradie includes a genuine Ford black nudge bar, Lumen 20.5-inch slimline LED light bar, unique 16-inch black alloy wheels, black side steps, a protective bedliner, and a tow bar.

It also boasts a host of standard tech features, including the latest SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smart phone compatibility.

The Tradie joins a range of enhanced Ford Ranger variants based on core models, including the XL Special Edition, XLS-based Ranger Sport, the XLT-based Ranger FX4 MAX, and the Wildtrak X.

Apart from Ranger, Ford’s new entrants in 2020 have also kept its showroom fresh, with the arrival of the new Ford Puma and Escape. The addition of the Ford Everest Basecamp and Everest Sport in RWD has bolstered the company’s seven-seat family offerings.

The Ford Ranger Tradie can now be found in your local Ford dealership, in Arctic White, True Red, Meteor Grey, Aluminium Silver, Blue Lightning or Shadow Black. It comes with a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty.

Buying one also gives you access to the Ford Service Benefits program, designed to keep you on the road longer. Servicing is every 15,000km or 12 months, and A and B log book servicing is capped for the first four years or 60,000km.

You also get a service loan car, Auto Club membership and roadside assistance. For further information, contact your local Ford dealer.
