Five unveils revolutionary GT1 EVO GTX gloves

Five Gloves has expanded its touring lineup with the introduction of the GT1 EVO GTX, a long‑distance motorcycle glove designed to handle variable weather and extended hours on the road.

Built from a mix of stretch nylon, SyntechSkin and full‑grain goatskin, the glove aims to balance durability with feel at the controls. A Gore‑Tex Grip membrane provides waterproofing without the slippage sometimes associated with floating liners too.

Lightweight Primaloft 80g insulation has been paired with NASA-developed Aerogel across the back of the hand for thermal support as well, which is particularly handy for early starts and late finishes.

Positioned as a three‑season option rather than a dedicated winter glove, the emphasis is on comfort and protection, in the GT1 EVO GTX. The glove incorporates D3O, integrated with Five’s own Ergo Protech shell design.

That can be found across multiple impact zones, including the palm, knuckles and forearm. The combination is a first for both the tech and the brand, and is also hidden under a layer of Superfabric on the hypothenar area.

This adds an extra layer of abrasion protection, while visibility is boosted through reflective panels across the upper section, and the glove includes practical touches such as an adjustable cuff system.

There’s also a visor‑wipe on the left index finger and touchscreen‑compatible fingertips. Five says the GT1 EVO GTX is intended to offer a broad feature set for riders who cover serious kilometres and need gear that can keep pace.

To be priced at $349.95 when they arrive in Australia in late March or April, the Five GT1 EVO GTX is expected to be one of the most protective gloves in its category, and a game changer for the industry.
