Ferrari launches world first insurance down under

Ferrari Australasia has announced the launch of its own insurance product, the first of its kind globally, providing vehicle cover that is designed to complement the distinctive requirements of its drivers.

Instead of relying on third-party insurers to protect their passion, the new offering focuses on specific cover for prancing horse vehicles, including up to $200,000 for track activity at events hosted by Ferrari Australasia and the Ferrari authorised dealer network.

In addition, Ferrari Insurance also offers the ability to fine-tune the annual kilometre usage, from precise cover for regularly driven vehicles, right down to as little as 100km of road use per year for those precious cars only driven on special occasions.

Bespoke cover is also available for stored vehicles waiting to return to the road. Other distinctive benefits include an industry-leading, four-year new-for-old replacement policy, unlimited excess-free windscreen replacements and highly flexible agreed value cover.

That’s especially important in instances where a vehicle’s worth has appreciated above its retail price. In recognition of the significant value of many Ferrari vehicles and collections, Ferrari Insurance can also provide coverage of up to $50m.

Much like a genuine accessory, coverage is a logical extension of the close relationship Australian Ferrari drivers have with the marque. The local arm of the global car maker is is committed to supporting the dedicated community of drivers in this region.

The introduction of the new insurance product took place at a launch event at the 2024 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix in Melbourne. Policies are available for owners of new and existing Ferrari motor vehicles across Australasia from Monday 25 March 2024.

Owners are invited to speak to their authorised Ferrari dealer for more information, or call Ferrari Insurance on 1300 458 488.
