Updates for the 2023 Lexus LS 500 and LS 500h bring seamless access to information, communication, and entertainment thanks to the latest connectivity technology. Lexus has fine-tuned what is already a top tier luxury experience.
Wireless Apple CarPlay joins an updated Lexus multimedia system, with an improved touchscreen display, a more refined centre console, and better smartphone storage. Voice recognition has been upgraded on the “Hey Lexus” setup too.
Multimedia Connect synchronises with the Lexus Connected app to offer cloud-based live traffic, weather, parking, and map updates. The Lexus Status Connect features allow you to check your car’s last location and current details, like range and fuel readings.
Owners can also check that all the windows and doors are closed and check tyre pressures without being near the car, and even activate hazard lights if needed. You can start the car and unlock the doors via the app instead of a key fob too.
The underbody camera seen on other Lexus models has made its way into the LS range as well, while some of the numerous badges have been removed to present a more stylish exterior.
The updated models are now on sale, starting from $195,920 plus on-roads the LS 500h F Sport and finishing up at the range topping LS 500 Sports Luxury for $202,320 plus on-roads. If you buy one, you also get a 3-year subscription to Lexus Connected Services.
