Ducati unveils new Multistrada V4 and Pikes Peak for 2025

Italian bike maker Ducati has taken the covers off its new 2025 Multistrada V4 and Pikes Peak offerings, with the new models scoring a raft of updates designed to enhance the riding experience, and the fun.

The standout is the Multistrada V4 S, powered by the Granturismo 1158cc engine with extended cylinder deactivation, for improved economy, and a repositioned swingarm pivot to reduce squat.

Ducati’s Marzocchi skyhook semi-active electronic suspension comes with a position sensor on the fork and features automatic lowering and easy lift, as well as an auto function mode, with the front end offering 170mm of travel.

There’s 180mm of travel at the rear, with increased pre-load (up 8mm), with Bosch-Brembo cornering ABS heading a braking package that includes a double 330mm diameter front disc, with Stylema radial callipers.

At the back is a 280mm x 6mm rear disc, with regressive kinematic control. Other features include a full LED headlight with DRL and more effective Ducati cornering lights, and a 6.5-inch full-TFT colour display.

Four power modes and five riding modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, Enduro) ensure you can set your bike up just right, while safety tech includes vehicle observer, wheelie and traction control, and brake control.

Hands free start and Ducati Connect smartphone integration feature, along with cruise control, up and down quick shift and vehicle hold control. It’s available in Ducati Red, Thrilling Black and Arctic White.

Sitting below it is the standard V4, which rolls back to Marzocchi mechanical suspension with an adjustable fork with 50mm diameter stems and adjustable shock absorber with cantilever layout.

Wheel travel is 170-180mm front and rear, respectively, with 320mm diameter front discs with Brembo 4-piston radial callipers. But it’s the bike that sits above the V4 S, the Pikes Peak, that offers the most excitement.

Available in a special livery with five-spoke forged wheels, it sports a carbon fibre front mudguard and beak, an approved Akrapovič silencer, and semi-active “event based” Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension with improved strategies.

Wheel travel is a neutral 170mm front and rear, and this variant is fitted with 17-inch Marchesini forged aluminium wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires. It features four riding modes (Race, Sport, Touring, Urban). More info available from your local Ducati dealership.
