Ducati launches Xpeditions motorcycle tours

Xpeditions is a new series of Ducati multi-day motorcycles tours, with the first of a number of events kicking off on 10 October and heading towards the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island.

Aimed at riders who own Multistrada, DesertX and Scrambler Desert Sled models, the Ducati Xpeditions events give owners a unique opportunity to ride and explore both dirt and bitumen roads with fellow Ducati riders.

The four day event will take riders through the many twists and turns of lush rainforest on the NSW South Coast, over Alpine High Country and into the never-ending hills east of Melbourne, and all while visiting some iconic adventure riding locations along the way.

Places like Barry Way, McKillops Bridge, and old gold mining towns like Walhalla will offer plenty, with no doubt plenty of unexpected surprises along the way. What makes these events cool though is the fact there are adventure and bitumen routes to choose from.

Riders will have the choice of getting off road, or staying on the tarmac, making this a very unique experience, and allowing each Multistrada, DesertX or Scrambler Desert Sled owner to essentially choose their own adventure, while being part of a bigger group.

Starting in Bowral, the event is run by Nick Selleck and the team at Maschine, and will see riders follow a planned route each day (on or off road), with food and fuel stops all sorted. At the end of each day, you’ll be able to check into your room and unwind.

Ducati owners will be hosted every night in fantastic accommodation that will have them sleeping easy so they can wake up fresh and recharged for the day’s ride ahead. And after the event, participants will receive a full gallery of the adventure.

Throughout the tour, Maschine will also support with skilled and experienced staff who will have their back at every turn. Route plans on GPS with lead riders clearing the way, technical and sweep support on course, and luggage transport are all included.

Likewise, medical assistance is on hand, should it be required. Most meals are included too, and Ducati special guest appearances will be part of the experience. To get on the tour, you’ll need to spend $2,700 per person, twin share, and bring your own bike.
