Drive Against Depression (DAD), an Australian registered mental health charity, is expanding its iconic events into NSW, with its inaugural charity drive planned for Sunday 4 June 2023. Super popular in Victoria, it’s limited to just 25 participants.
With registrations now open, the NSW drive follows a familiar format to those who have previously experienced a DAD drive; an engaging drive route mixed with meaningful conversation that fosters a true sense of community support.
With the generous support of Helen (Driven Women Magazine) and Zak Adkins (Chasing Cars), the day will commence from Berowra train station carpark followed by lunch at Goldfish Bar and Restaurant at Roche Estate to conclude the day.
“Since the severe COVID restrictions have eased, Drive Against Depression has been able to return to its community in the way it matters most: with face-to-face dialogue and events that combine the freedom of driving with guidance on supporting mental wellness,” DAD co-founder Sarah Davis said.
“This event sees the expansion of our DAD ‘Local Legends’ program, and Helen and Zak have been instrumental in designing what will be a memorable event for our first foray into the New South Wales community,” she added.
“We can’t wait to expand our mental health message, and hope to encourage further state-based events that support our cause on a national level.”
