Delta Electronics Australia (Delta) has unveiled a new 350kW EV charging solution, designed specifically for the Australian market. Its launch follows major infrastructure projects for Hobart Airport and Westmead Children’s Hospital.
Developed as part of a plan to bolster products and services locally, and importantly, suitable for third-party providers, the High Power Charger 350kW is a cutting-edge DC setup that promises unprecedented convenience and efficiency for EV owners.
Designed to meet the robust demands of Australian and New Zealand highways and cityscapes, it boasts a liquid cooling system and delivers an industry-leading 540A output, enabling charging speeds up to 350kW.
In just 10 minutes, drivers can add 250 to 300km of range, making it ideal for long-distance travel and enhancing charger turnover at highway rest stops, urban charging hubs such as carparks and service stations, as well as fleet business back-to-base operations.
“Delta’s commitment to advancing sustainable transportation is no-better epitomised in our High Power Charger 350kW,” Delta Australia country manager Tom Hew said.
“This charger not only accelerates charging speeds but also optimises operational efficiency with its compact footprint and high energy conversion rate of up to 96.5 per cent, driving Australia’s sustainability journey forward.”
The Delta High Power Charger 350kW utilises advanced power modules to maximise efficiency and minimise installation space. It is equipped with a user-friendly 15-inch touchscreen, and IP55/NEMA 3R and IK10 protection, for robust user safety.
The charger supports Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) and network connectivity for seamless integration with payment and backend systems, enabling real-time monitoring and efficient maintenance. The unit is security certificated by the Open Charge Alliance.
Delta’s recent projects (as mentioned previously) include the fitment of two 100kW City Charger unites at Hobart Airport, and the installation of an entirely solar-backed charging solution for Westmead Children’s Hospital, where 75 Delta AC chargers were installed.
