DDPAI launches N5 Dual AI-based radar dash cam

Smart mobility imaging solutions manufacturer DDPAI has launched a new dash cam that combines energy efficient radar technology with AI algorithms for the first time. Known as the N5 Dual, it features a 4K UHD front camera.

That’s paired with a 1080p rear camera, capturing crisp and wide-angle footage with a 140-degree front and 125-degree rear field of view. DDPAI’s RealCube and NightVIS tech allows vivid and true-to-life image quality in all lighting conditions, day or night.

The N5 Dual also offers intelligent 24/7 parking surveillance, recording a 10-second clip when the AI millimeter-wave radar detects motion, and switching to time-lapse recording when the motion continues.

The parking mode supports battery-friendly monitoring, reducing power consumption by 87 per cent compared to time-lapse recording, offering up to 15 days of recordings. The N5 Dual is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) functionality too.

This allows the unit to provide real-time alerts for vehicle movement and driver fatigue. The built-in GPS logs routes and speeds, while 5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 enable fast, stable connections to the DDPAI app.

The Smart Voice control allows drivers to stay focused on the road while enhancing their driver experience. The N5 Dual features 32GB of built-in eMMC storage and support for microSD cards up to 512GB.

If the storage card fails, videos are automatically saved to the built-in eMMC. Its built-in supercapacitor is also heat-resistant, ensuring reliability and durability in extreme conditions, with no risk of ignition.

The DDPAI N5 Dual is now available in Australia for $199.99 and can be purchased from JB Hi-Fi, Amazon Australia, and the DDPAI Official Online Store. DDPAI was founded in 2013 and has a product range that includes smart imaging solutions for vehicles and homes.
