Collecting Cars brings Coffee Run down under

Global classic, performance and collectable car auction site Collecting Cars is bringing its famous Coffee Run events to Sydney and Auckland in January and February. Former Top Gear presenter Chris Harris will be along for the ride.

The Auckland Showgrounds will host New Zealand’s first Collecting Cars Coffee Run on Monday 29 January 2024, and will double as the brand’s launch into that market. It will be followed by a Sydney event at Rosehill Gardens on 4 February.

“The collector car scene in Australia and New Zealand is unlike any other. It’s a fascinating playground,” Harris said.

“There are homegrown homologation classics built by the likes of Ford, Holden and Chrysler right through to some of the rarest and most storied exotic supercars of the last 50 years. I can’t wait to get down there.”

Collecting Cars has transformed how car enthusiasts and collectors buy and sell collectible cars and automobilia. Joining Harris at both events will be the organisation’s founder and CEO, Edward Lovett.

“The Collecting Cars team invites all passionate car-loving communities from across Sydney and Auckland for these two major events,” Lovett said.

“It’s a thrill to officially launch the Collecting Cars online platform in New Zealand and bring together lovers of collector cars from across Sydney and Auckland.”

A major part of the Collecting Cars philosophy is the importance of bringing people together. It’s on that basis, that they’re inviting those with special cars to bring them along. You can register online for both Coffee Run events.

Established in 2019, Collecting Cars now boasts more than 120,000 registered members and has sold more than 14,000 lots totalling more than AUD $1 billion. In December 2023 the company launched Private Sales.

The latter is a premium service tailored to selling the world’s most exclusive and exceptional cars. Along with online auctions and classifieds sales, Collecting Cars conducts more than 60 car culture events annually.
