FRENCH car maker Citroen has marked 100 years of innovation and boldness ahead of the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, with the unveiling of the AMI One Concept, an all-electric vehicle that places digital technology at the heart of urban mobility.
Faithful to the brand promise ‘Inspired by You’, the AMI One Concept is Citroen’s response to new customer behaviour and the challenge of the energy transition in urban environments.
The concept illustrates Citroën’s vision of freedom in the city, and uses the hash tagged catchphrase #LibertyElectriCityMobility to express what it believes should signify freedom of use for everyone.
The AMI One is designed to be utilised without a driver’s licence, and is accompanied by an innovative global digital ecosystem, fostering a modern, cheerful and broadly accessible mobility experience.
The concept rethinks the customer journey, offering ‘on demand’ use, ranging from five-minutes to five-years of use, making it perfect for car sharing, rental or purchase, with the car simply passed to the next person when you’re done with it.
AMI One includes a special mobile app that motorists use to manage their relationship with the vehicle, providing access to a portal of services that simplify each journey.
The concept is based on use around a city-centre, and provides a 100 per cent electric mobility solution that is ultra-compact and agile, offering mobility freedom for two people in an intuitive and connected vehicle.
It has an assertive, bold and colourful personality, and a virtuous and symmetrical design. It’s hip and aimed at enjoying the city in style and comfort. The AMI One Concept will debut at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, from 7-17 March.
