Citroën C4 To expand brand’s Australian range

Citroën Australia will soon welcome the new C4 to its model range in an impressive single variant, with a reinvented hatchback design that combines sports utility vehicle’ posture and attitude, with saloon versatility.

Offering a modern concept that’s full of character, the Citroën C4 has all the qualities needed to shake up the standards of its segment, including a new generation design language that’s inspired by customers and their way of driving.

“We’re delighted to be expanding the Citroën range in Australia and the C4 is the perfect addition,” Citroën Australia general manager Kate Gillis said.

“The versatility, unrivalled comfort and original design of the Citroën C4 will no doubt appeal to the discerning Australian consumer.”

The new look C4 is powered by a 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engine, producing 114kW of power and 240Nm of torque, and paired with an 8-speed efficient automatic transmission.

Improved suspension, seating and acoustic comfort is designed to cocoon the driver, while generous space and storage compartments make for a clever cabin. Light, soft materials add to its relaxed ambience.

Citroën suspension, with progressive hydraulic cushions, provides supreme comfort and a “magic carpet ride” effect on the road, while the front and rear seats include high-density material and 15mm thick foam as part of an advanced comfort program.

A total of 18 driving aids, including autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, active lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control with stop/go contribute to a safer and more convenient driving environment.

Other technologies include a driver attention alert, keyless entry and push button start, a colour head-up display, reversing camera with top rear vision and a 360-degree surround view.

The new Citroën C4 will arrive in Australian showrooms mid-November. Full specification, including pricing, will be available at launch. Customers can register their interest in the new model online at www.citroen.com.au
