HOT on the heels of the reveal of the one-off Wild Yellow tribute to the 1969 Chrysler Valiant Pacer, the US car maker has unveiled the production version of the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer, with the 2020 model available now.
Offered as a limited run of just 50 units, the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer will be available in three colours: Bright White, Gloss Black and Ceramic Grey, and features front and rear decals, and ‘Pacer 392’ exterior badging.
It also scores black and red side stripe decals across shoulder featuring the HEMI logo, as well as special edition interior badging. Each Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer is individually numbered with a custom build plate, unique to each vehicle.
True to its track-inspired performance, the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer is powered by the impressive 6.4-litre HEMI V8 petrol engine delivering 350kW of power and 637Nm of torque. It’s mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, with launch control.
Based on the SRT Core model, and akin to the genesis of its classic predecessor, the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer is an affordable high performance large sedan that’s sure to resonate with Chrysler devotees and Australian motoring enthusiasts alike.
“Marking the 50th Anniversary of the much loved Valiant Pacer, we’re excited to celebrate such a milestone with this limited edition car – a revival of the Pacer nameplate for Australian motoring enthusiasts,” Chrysler Australia product director Guillaume Drelon said.
“This is truly a modern take on an Australian classic and we’re excited to bring the Pacer back in this exclusive run of fantastic looking vehicles.”
Today, the Chrysler 300 SRT on which this special edition is based, is one of the last affordable V8 powered rear-wheel drive sedans still available in Australia. The 2020 Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer is priced from $69,950 plus on-roads.
