CFMOTO adds 700CL-X Adventure to model line-up

CFMOTO has expanded its popular neo-retro 700CL-X series, with the third variant, the Adventure now available. Priced from $11,990 ride away, it brings a scrambler attitude and heightened off road capability, combined with thrilling performance.

Designed for those who have a love and appreciation for modern motorcycle culture and express their distinctive personality and style via their chosen motorcycle, the 700CL-X Adventure is powered by a 693cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin, DOHC engine.

Optimised for off-road use, with improved low-speed linear output, it produces 55kW of power and 68Nm of torque. A ride-by-wire throttle is paired with an electronic fuel injection system by BOSCH and a CF-SC slipper clutch ensures a silky-smooth acceleration.

As an added bonus, there’s reduced engine braking and a sporty riding experience. In pure scrambler style, the handlebars have been shifted upwards by 30mm and back by 15mm, providing a more relaxed riding position.

It also gives the rider the ability to stand in the attack position when tackling roads less travelled. Serrated aluminium alloy foot pegs ensure adequate grip and support, and the anti-vibration rubber inserts can also be removed for increased grip in slippery conditions.

Ground clearance has been increased by 10mm over the 700CL-X Heritage, the front fender has also been raised to prevent gravel and mud clogging. Additionally, the Adventure employs a high-strength chrome-molybdenum alloy frame.

That’s paired with a lightweight aluminium alloy swing arm, tuned for responsive handling performance and precise control. A model-specific, thickened double-seat with a flatter profile provides greater movement possibilities across all surfaces as well.

A stylish pillion grab handle offers increased confidence and comfort to passengers. Soft pannier luggage supports are also fitted as standard and feature a laser cut ‘X’ stylised logo.

The high specification 41mm KYB fully adjustable upside-down front fork and single KYB rear shock provide superior bump absorption, 150mm of travel and a broad range of adjustability, ensuring the rider can optimise their suspension settings for style and terrain.

The one-piece, non-welded hubs eliminate the potential risk of deformation and damage during off-road excursions too. Double-O spoke ring nuts provide strong sealing for the tubeless tyres, while also providing fuss-free tightening.

Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres feature a special tread pattern and composition optimised for stability and confidence across a broad mix of surfaces and weather conditions. The 700CL-X Adventure also comes with an assortment of electronic rider aids and niceties.

Riders have the choice between two riding modes, STREET and OFF-ROAD, while for greater control and enjoyment in spirited off-road riding, the rear-wheel ABS can be deactivated.

When the vehicle speed is greater than 40km/h, the rider can activate the cruise control system which will automatically maintain the set speed, thus reducing fatigue and improving comfort.

The speed can be increased or decreased through the ‘RES’ and ‘SET’ buttons, and the maximum speed is limited to 120km/h. An intelligent lighting system features an adaptive headlight that automatically adjusts to ambient brightness for superb low and high beam.

Self-cancelling LED indicators are also included as standard equipment. The innovative T-box system has a built-in 4G module and 6D sensor which can check vehicle status, positioning, and mileage in real-time through the CFMOTO RIDE smartphone app.
