Car maker reveals pricing for MG4 as pre-sale opens

MG’s most technologically advanced model to date, the MG4, has officially gone on pre-sale from today – Tuesday 11 April. Available only in Essence trim, it’s packed with a 64kWh battery and is good for around 435km total range.

Producing 150kW of power to the rear wheels, with 50:50 weight distribution, it’s the first to be built on the brand’s Modular Scalable Platform. Features such as MG Pilot advanced driver assistance, and automatic LED headlights and taillights are standard.

Rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, automatic climate control, MG iSmart App connectivity and a 360-degree parking camera are also included, along with 18-inch alloys and a two-tone roof.

To be priced at $47,990 plus on roads, the MG4 will also offer exceptional storage, interior and boot space, thanks to a stretched wheelbase of 2,705mm. Rear boot capacity is also impressive, and there’s a 10.25-inch infotainment system.

The 64kWh battery is also capable of charging up to 135kW, meaning a charge time of only 60 minutes to 80 per cent using a 50kW DC rapid charger.

Safety technology includes blind spot detection, lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert. Wireless phone charging is also included. You can register your interest for the MG3 on the MG Motor Australia website.
