Brabus launches 4×4 off road supercar

This is the Brabus 700 – a 515kW super car jammed into an off road chassis. It’s capable of 0-100km/h in 5.0 seconds flat. A thumping 960Nm of torque makes the final edition Brabus 700 4×4 an absolute monster.

The fact it will be limited to just 10 examples makes it an absolute collectors item – even with an asking price of 209,000 Euros plus VAT. That’s a little over $329,000 Australian dollars, in case you were wondering.

It’s based on the W 463 series Mercedes Benz G 63, but that’s pretty much where the connection stops. To give the vehicle outstanding off-road capabilities, the base vehicle was converted to portal axles.

Brabus then added its own multi-adjustable special suspension, which provides a tremendous 60cm of ground clearance and excellent front and rear axle articulation. Then they set to work on the engine.

This special model is powered by a 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine fitted with a Brabus performance upgrade that bumps power output to 515kW (690bhp) and torque to 960Nm, allowing a 0-100km/h sprint in just 5.0 seconds.

The top speed is electronically limited to 210km/h due to the all-out off-road tires. On the outside, the extravagant off-roader also gets massive carbon fender flares and roof spoiler, and is fitted with LED daytime running lights.

To protect the engine, drive line and the tank from damage during heavy off-road use, Brabus has also equipped their beast of an SUV with robust skid plate elements.

And in case you were wondering about the inside, a tailor-made Brabus fine leather interior, crafted to the vehicle owner’s personal preferences in every detail is optionally available as well.
