BMW Australia has announced the launch of two new limited run Frozen Edition variations of the X3 and X4 that showcase new levels of style and road presence, along with sophisticated German car maker goodness.
We’re talking about the new X3 M40i Frozen Edition and the X4 M40i Frozen Edition, which come with a very nice Deep Grey metallic pain job, highlighted with an M Shadow Line kidney grille in a high-gloss black, and carbon fibre capped mirrors.
A carbon fibre rear boot lid spoiler features on the X4 M40i, with M sport brakes shining out from under the rims in a high gloss red on both variants. The carbon fibre goodness continues to the interior trim.
Leather Vernasca upholstered seats with red stitching features, as do M seat belts with lovely BMW M tri-colour stitching. BMW have upgraded the Sensatec instrument panel with red stitching too.
Mechanically there is no change but who cares. You’re still getting precision German power with the celebrated BMW TwinPower in-line six-cylinder engine that develops 285kW and 500Nm, helping propel both models from 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds.
Both consume just 8.9-litres/100km in fuel, on the combined cycle. Truly limited edition, just 37 examples will be available (17 X3 M40i Frozen Edition and 20 X4 M40i Frozen Edition). It’s a car so rare people will be going “ooh, what’s that?”.
To get one, you’ll need to jump online and reserve one at https://shop.bmw.com.au – with the X3 M40i Frozen Edition priced at $142,900 drive away, and the X4 M40i Frozen Edition hitting the road at $152,900, also drive away.
