BMW creates a storm with limited edition Dark Shadow X7 SUV

BMW Australia will offer a strictly limited allocation of the new X7 Dark Shadow Edition model in both xDrive30d and M50i variants with local arrival in March 2021, with just five of each variant to be made available.

BMW Shop facilitates the reservation by requesting a $5,000 deposit, after which the order is placed and customer’s preferred dealer informed to carry out consultation and eventual hand over and delivery in 2021.

The BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition premieres BMW Individual special project offerings to provide an unmistakeable and commanding road presence. It’s available in just one colour; BMW Individual Frozen Arctic Grey metallic.

BMW Individual High-Gloss Shadow Line with extended contents replace the chrome finishers to deliver a heightened visual impression, while sun protection glazing enhances the dramatic exterior aesthetic while providing additional privacy for rear seat passengers.

The iconic M Sport brake callipers finished in blue combine with the blue-hued X design feature of the BMW Laserlight system to provide a dynamic contrast.

The X7 Dark Shadow Edition cabin is characterised by premium materials and design elements unique to the model. It features luxurious BMW Comfort Seats upholstered in supple two-tone full leather Merino Night Blue/Black and high-end quilted patterns.

The cockpit horizon, which reflects the rich deep hues of a darkened sky, is framed by a instrument panel upper section and upper door surfaces finished in BMW Individual Walknappa leather Night Blue.

The BMW Individual Alcantara headliner in matching Night Blue shade provides a progressive alternative to conventional offerings while adding another level of sophistication.

Precisely crafted aluminium inlays adorn the BMW Individual ‘Fineline Black’ interior surface, a first for BMW X7, provide a seamless aesthetic by unifying the two materials as one.

BMW’s signature Crafted Clarity crystal glass treatment is applied to the gearshift selector, iDrive controller and Start/Stop button and adds a feeling of class and elegance.

An ‘Edition Dark Shadow’ signet on the centre console provides confirms the model’s exclusivity while adding a premium finishing touch.

The X7 Dark Shadow Edition provides additional aesthetic appeal and equipment to a vehicle universally acclaimed for its first-class comfort, superior ride and handling characteristics and comprehensive level of standard equipment.

The 3.0 litre 6-cylinder turbo diesel of the xDrive30d M Sport delivers 195kW and 620Nm, while the 4.4 litre 8-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine of the flagship M50i produces 390kW and 750Nm.

Prices for the Dark Shadow X7 are set at $188,900 (drive away) for xDrive30d M Sport and $215,900 (drive away) for the M50i. Reservations for the Dark Shadow Edition are exclusively online via the new BMW Shop on a first come, first served basis.
