CAPABLE of sprinting from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds and punching out some 467kW of power and 900Nm of torque, the new Bentley Bentayga Speed is the world’s fastest production SUV.

Powered by an enhanced version of the legendary 6.0-litre W12 engine, the Speed edition features a new exterior look and a range of mechanical changes, and will debut at the Geneva Auto Show and go on sale later this year.

Dark-tint headlights, radiator and bumper grilles, along with body-coloured side skirts and a tailgate spoiler hint at the SUV’s performance credentials. A unique 22-inch wheel design available in three finishes with signature badging add to the sporting design cues.

Inside, the Bentayga Speed introduces a dramatic design theme. This includes elegantly crafted ‘swooshes’ around the door and door grab, on the edge of the seat cushions and backrest bolsters, and on the lower console.

A new contrast stitching on the diamond quilting; discreet Speed badging; a Speed illuminated tread plate signature; and the use of Alcantara materials for the first time all feature in the new look Bentayga.

As with all Bentayga variants, the all-wheel-drive Speed is equipped with an electronic diff lock and up to eight drive modes, while bespoke engineering revisions to the Sport mode provide a more dynamic drive, with firmer suspension and an improved exhaust note adding to driver engagement.

Customers can also personalise the Bentayga Speed to their own requirements with a range of exclusive options, including carbon ceramic brakes, 22-way adjustable front seats with massage function, carbon fibre fascia panels, Bentley rear-seat entertainment (RSE) and mood lighting.

Full details and an Australian release date will be confirmed after the Geneva Auto Show.
