Benelli Leoncino 800 an 800 Trail land in Oz

Benelli’s Leoncino 800 and 800 Trail have landed on Australian soil. The long-awaited, and highly anticipated motorcycles offer a perfect balance between classic and modern styles, and are powered by an advanced parallel twin engine.

In Leoncino 800 form, it’s powered by Benelli’s liquid-cooled, four-stroke, twin cylinder engine, delivering 56kW of get up and go, and 67Nm of torque. Dual overhead camshafts, with four valves per cylinder, and 43mm diameter throttle bodies feature.

Matched with a 6-speed gearbox and a dependable wet-slipper clutch, the Leoncino 800 offers exceptional stopping power, thanks to its double 320mm diameter semi-floating discs on the front (with a four-piston radial-mount mono-block calliper).

You’ll find a 260mm diameter disc on the back (with a double-piston calliper). Its 17-inch aluminium alloy tubeless spoked rims mount Pirelli 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 tyres. It’s a genuinely comfortable ride thanks to the suspension package too.

A 50mm front upside-down fork with 50mm diameter legs, is adjustable in rebound, compression and preload, with 140mm of travel. On the rear is a swing-arm with a central adjustable mono-shock with spring preload and rebound damping.

It’s partner in crime, the Leoncino 800 Trail sports a distinct high-mounted dual outlet exhaust among a raft of unique features. These include a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, with tubeless Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, and long travel suspension.

It shares the same parallel twin engine as the road going version, has ABS, and the same suspension package as the 800. Available in the same colour range, it’s priced at $13,990 ride away.

Both bikes come with a 2-year unlimited kilometre warranty and 2-years premium roadside assist. For further information on either model, contact your local Benelli dealer.
