On 28 June 2026, Racer Nation will present Battle for the Summit at Luddenham Raceway. It’s been dubbed Australia’s biggest drift event, with $30,000 in cash and prizes, as well as tandem battles for the top 32 competitors.
Exhaust Notes Australia was invited to a preview day for the event, which gave attendees the opportunity to passenger in drift cars, see some of the vehicles that will be attending the Show and Shine, and spend some time on track in their own cars.
This was something this writer was extremely excited about, as it gave him the opportunity to put Project Arteon through its paces on a tight and technical track. Battle for the Summit looks to be an excellent event with a tonne of activities spanning the entire day.
There’s enough there to satisfy anyone with petrol flowing through their veins. There will be a burnout comp hosted and judged by Troy Candy, and that massive Show and Shine we mentioned.
It’s set to feature some of the best JDM, Euro, Muscle, Supercars and Bikes this side of an auto accessory store’s cleaning products isle. On top of that, for those of us with a sideways disposition you can ride with a pro drifter for three laps of the course.
Having done that at the preview day, this writer can definitely say it’s worth every dollar. If that isn’t enough, the event is family friendly, with a kid’s zone and activities (under 12’s can also attend free).
The Battle for the Summit kicks off at 9am and runs through to 5pm on 28 June, with general admission tickets for $49 in advance or $69 at the gate. The Ride with a Pro package is $149 and includes general admission.
