THE Mission glove from Argon sits atop a comprehensive range of hand protection offered by the motorbike apparel producer. It’s a high quality item, constructed from a premium goat-leather outer and kangaroo leather palm.
We’ve been putting the Mission gloves to the test over the last few months, and have been seriously impressed with their high-tech safety features, including advanced tech-fibre lining and Knox protection sliders, and premium feel.
TPU knuckle protectors also feature and are designed to offer maximum protection and performance. With a definite sports focus, our Argon Mission gloves have been our go to piece of gear and the more we’ve worn them, the more we like them.
Like most leather products straight off the shelf, they required a little wearing in, especially over the first two or three rides. They have a real quality feel to them, and the safety features make a very good first impression.
Although a little stiff at first, they have bedded in nicely. The Kangaroo leather on the palms offer great feel on the throttle, as well as when operating blinkers, cruise control and the like.
So far, we have had no fraying in any of the stitching either (part of the reason we do gear reviews over a number of months, rather than weeks – ensuring products stand the test of time).
The gloves offer good flexibility while riding, and all the Velcro tensioning points operate well, and showed no signs of wear and tear during our test period.
Unfortunately, we haven’t yet had a chance to test them on a track day, but we will, and will update this review accordingly.
Available in a range of colours to match the rest of your riding kit, Argon Mission gloves come in White/Red, Black/White/Yellow, Stealth (Black), and White/Black as per our review set.
Sizes range from small to 3XL in all colour variants, which means there will be a size and colour to suit just about all riders. Priced from $219.95, the Argon Mission gloves offer good value when compared to direct competitors.
Available from all good motorcycle and apparel outlets, they’re well worth checking out. Like all motorcycle gear, we recommend you try before you buy. This is particularly so in the case of the Argon Mission gloves as they feature knuckle protection.
It’s important to make sure these sit where they’re supposed to, to ensure correct sizing and fit, and that the item meets the purpose you are expecting.
