Argon launches Forge 2 and Brazen 2 leather jackets

Motorcycle accessories brand Argon has launched two new leather jackets, including the heritage-focused Forge 2 men’s offering, and the classic Brando-inspired Brazen 2, which can be had in both men’s and women’s cuts.

Armed with heritage styling and CE Level AA certification, the Argon Forge 2 is a modern interpretation of the essence of motorcycling. Offering a premium fit, soft leather and legacy styling, the Forge 2 is set to be an instant classic.

The buffalo hide may feel soft, but is actually highly abrasion resistant, protecting everything but your ego in the event of an emergency. The inside of the jacket is lined with a removable 75g dotted quilted vest too.

This is designed to provide the torso with warmth on those cooler days and comfort in summer when removed. The jacket uses quality YKK zippers in the front and wrist to ensure a secure closure, with metal snaps on the collar fastening it in place.

A neoprene neckroll has been added to the collar for extra comfort and to prevent rubbing when performing a shoulder check. Despite its heritage styling, the Forge 2 is CE Certified to Level AA, ensuring outstanding abrasion resistance and protection.

Within the jacket is X-Halo CE Level 2 elbow and shoulder armour as well as an HDF back protector for high performance impact protection. Offered in sizes from 46 to 64, it retails for $429.95.

The Brazen 2 lets you channel your inner Brando with a classically styled leather jacket, with modern abrasion and impact protection. Constructed from 100 per cent cowhide leather, the styling is true to that of the 1970’s era gear.

Brass features include YKK zippers, button snaps and a waist adjustment buckle. The large open collar is secured with snaps, while the main opening is a heavy duty zipper. It’s been designed to allow it to be fully zipped up for more chest coverage and wind protection.

Despite its classic look, there’s nothing 1970’s about the safety features, with the cowhide offering CE Level A abrasion protection and the X-Halo armour is CE Level 2 certified for impact protection.

The rear of the jacket has an integrated classic stretch panel, giving more freedom of movement without impacting the overall style. Zippered vents in the rear expose perforated leather ventilation for comfort.

Inside is a fixed 75g thermal liner and two pockets, including a dry pouch. Side adjusters help tailor the fit and wrist zippers provide a strong closure. Available in men’s sizes from 46 to 68 and women’s sizes from 6 to 18, it also retails for $429.95.
