Abarth updates 595 Competizione hatchback and convertible

AT home on the race track just as much as urban streets, the Abarth 595 range is now available across Australia, blending sports styling and technology updates with Competizione premium trim in 2021.

The Abarth 595 range is now exclusive to that trim level, in both hatchback and convertible, and features tech and style updates, including the new ‘Rally Blue’ paint colour, celebrating the 1970s Fiat 131 Abarth Rally.

New Montecarlo 17-inch alloy wheels, inspired by the race-ready Lancia Delta Rally Integrale, have also been added. The Abarth 595 Competizione is powered by a Euro 6D 1.4 T-jet engine, delivering 132kW and 250Nm.

Rally fans can rejoice with the premium features, including Brembo brake callipers, Abarth Monza exhaust, and front and rear adaptive suspension with KONI frequency selective damping.

The Abarth 595 line-up also features interior highlights including leather Abarth sports seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with carbon fibre inserts.

“The updated Abarth 595 range celebrates the premium appointments of the Competizione, with the quintessential rally car traits Abarth is known for,” Abarth director of marketing communications Tom Noble said.

“The race-ready power of this hot hatch has also seen style updates that speak to rally racing history, including a modern take on the iconic Montecarlo wheels and the new matte Rally Blue exterior paint colour paying homage to the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally.”

The interior technology includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 7.0-inch instrument cluster, rain sensing wipers, rear parking sensors, and daytime running lights.

Complete with Tar Cold Grey exterior trim highlights, the 2021 Abarth 595 Competizione is now available in 10 exterior paint colours, including the new matte Rally Blue and pastel Adrenaline Green.

Further accentuating its sports looks, a black roof option has been made available on the Adrenaline Green colour, as well as Modena Yellow, Abarth Red and Gara White. The Abarth 595 Competizione convertible variant instead features a retractable soft-top roof.

The 2021 Abarth 595 Competizione range is on sale now from $32,950 plus on-roads and is available at Abarth dealerships across Australia.
