2025 Triumph Tiger Sport 800 headed down under

Triumph is set to introduce a new Tiger Sport 800 in 2025, with the sports tourer set to arrive in the first quarter of next year, and be priced from $19,990 ride away. Its 800cc triple engine will deliver 85kW and 84Nm.

Designed to provide the perfect balance of sports performance and long-distance touring capability, the Tiger Sport 800 offers an engaging yet comfortable chassis, rider-focused technology, and a premium finish.

Adjustable Showa suspension, radial brake callipers and a 214kg wet weight combine to deliver agile and responsive handling. That’s paired with a powerplant that delivers 90 per cent of its torque throughout the mid-range, creating a bike that provides a dynamic ride.

The Tiger Sport 800’s 41mm upside down separate function cartridge fork features rebound and compression damping adjustment, and is married to a Showa Monoshock that provides rebound damping adjustment and a generous 150mm of wheel travel.

A remote hydraulic preload adjuster allows the ride to be easily optimised when carrying luggage and a pillion too. Four piston brake callipers and twin 310mm front discs provide stopping power at the front. At the back is a single piston sliding calliper and 255mm disc.

The bike’s aerodynamic bodywork and wind deflectors provide enhanced protection, while roomy ergonomics for both rider and pillion, comfortable seats and integrated pillion grab handles all combine to offer excellent comfort on extended rides.

The accessible 835mm seat height and the slim stand-over width inspires confidence during low-speed manoeuvres and gives a reassuringly stable feel at a standstill. The easily adjustable windscreen with single hand operation enhances rider comfort at high speed.

An 18.6-litre fuel tank ensures this bike is built for weekend touring. Rider-focused technology includes three riding modes, a ride-by-wire throttle, and switchable traction control. Triumph shift assist, optimised cornering ABS and cruise control also feature.

LED lights, multi-functional LCD and TFT instruments with turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth phone connectivity are included as standard. You can also choose a range of accessories, including an Akrapovič slip on silencer for your Tiger Sport 800.

It’s available in four eye-catching colours, including Sapphire Black, Graphite, Cosmic Yellow, and Caspian Blue (all with contrasting Sapphire Black elements). You can find out more on the Triumph Motorcycles Australia website or contact your local dealership.
