The Škoda Octavia Wagon, in its Select 110 TSI trim, is an impressive car, especially for families. With ample room, a well designed interior and good tech, it’s a well rounded car that also doesn’t break the bank – and that’s a win.
It’s available in Candy White, Moon White Metallic, Brilliant Silver Metallic, Graphite Grey Metallic, Magic Black Pearlescent, Race Blue Metallic or Velvet Red Premium Metallic, and features a rather timeless design.
With sleek lines, crystalline LED headlights and rear light accents, it’s polished without being showy. That’s what makes Škoda, well, Škoda though. Across various vehicles, there’s nothing that’s gawdy or out there, instead their design is conservative and practical.
That’s okay too, and while it won’t be for everyone, it’s an philosophy that has long designated their brand identity. Step inside the Octavia Wagon and you’ll find much the same sleek look and feel.

A 3-spoke flat-bottom leather appointed steering wheel makes things a little sporty, in a space that’s surprisingly premium, in a very pleasant way. Nothing feels cheap or poorly done, and the mix of black and grey trims feels cozy.
Lodge theme fabric upholstery with synthetic leather accents is comfortable and fun, with the pebbled looking material used across the dash gives an artsy vibe to the entire ensemble.
A 13.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system delivers satellite navigation, along with all the usual suspects, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a reasonable 8-speaker sound system. The climate controls are stashed here too, a trend we’re not in love with.
The duo of smartphone setups work wirelessly and connect seamlessly most times, however there were a few times it randomly disconnected. Under the hood of the Octavia Wagon Select 110 TSI is a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.

It produces, you guessed it, 110kW of power and 259Nm of torque, and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is a claimed 6.1-litres/100km, with 8.4-litres in real world testing from its 45-litre tank.
While you won’t win any drag races, it does deliver a comfortable and cruisy drive, with power on tap should you need it. The powertrain is well developed and zippier than you might expect.
It lends itself to confidence inspiration when it comes to overtaking or hitting the freeway. The suspension refinement is a standout too, gliding over bumps, pot holes and road imperfections with ease.
Ride and handling is superb, with the Octavia Wagon doing a great job at eating up curves and bends. A long list of safety tech includes ABS, anti-slip regulation, a cross-differential system, and electronic limited slip diff and lock, and stability and hill hold control.

Tyre pressure monitoring plus Škoda’s ADAS offerings, including adaptive cruise control with stop and go, driver fatigue detection, emergency assist, exit warning, turn assist and front assist (with support for city/pedestrian and cyclists), all feature.
You’ll also find lane assist with adaptive lane guidance, manoeuvre braking assist, rear cross traffic alert, and front and rear parking assist on hand. All of them work well, and are reasonably non-intrusive. The only let down was the poor quality reversing camera.
Backed by a 7-year unlimited kilometre warranty and a 5-star ANCAP safety rating, pricing starts from $43,990 drive away. There’s an RS version, for those keen for something that will knock your socks off in the performance stakes.
While it won’t win any beauty pageants, the 2025 Škoda Octavia Wagon Select 110 TSI is a great, well-rounded car, with a solid warranty, that’s probably a little underestimated against some more flashy rivals.
