THERE is no doubt the Ford Mustang is an icon, and in 2020 the GT Fastback and Convertible will offer a bold new colour palette that includes Grabber Lime and Twister Orange, both classic Mustang colours from Ford’s heritage collection.
But that’s not all, a new Black Shadow pack will bring a distinctive visual choice, including unique alloy wheels, paint details and badging finished in contrasting black, to bring Mustang GT Fastback owners an edgy, athletic look.
Ford will also cap servicing at $299 per service for four years or 60,000km, whichever comes first, and has added a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty. They’ll also provide a loan car while your shiny new pony is being serviced.
“The Mustang is an icon, and Australian customers have been asking for more ways to customise and individualise their particular vehicle, so we’re pleased to offer more ways of doing just that,” said Ford Australia President and CEO, Kay Hart.
“These new offerings help make the 2020 Mustang really stand out, and for the first time, our Ford Service Benefits program, with our Service Price Promise, is part of Mustang ownership, too.”
The Shadow pack we mentioned includes a black painted roof, black bonnet and side stripes, unique ten-spoke dark-finish 19-inch alloy wheels, black grille Pony and 5.0L guard badging, and an optional black high-rise rear spoiler.
“The Black Shadow pack takes the Mustang GT Fastback to another level,” said Mustang Chief Program Engineer, Carl Widmann. “It gives the classic Mustang lines a sinister flavour that really adds a raciness and competition look to it.”
An active quad exhaust is now also standard on the Mustang GT, with the additional new colours also including a fresh Iconic Silver, as well as the appropriately named Red Hot paintwork.
The 2020 Ford Mustang will be on sale in Australian Ford dealerships from November 2019, with pricing and further details to be announced closer to the new vehicle going on sale.
